2. Information we collect

Order information. When you place or attempt to place an order we collect your name, billing and delivery address, email address, phone number and order details. Payments are handled by Shopify and its payment providers, so we never see or store your full card number.

Personalisation information. For personalised products we collect what you enter on the product page, such as names, dates, locations, messages and any photos or files you upload, plus your comments when you approve or request changes to a design proof.

Device and browsing information. When you visit the Site we collect information about your device and how you use the Site, including your IP address, browser type, time zone, the pages and products you view, the website or search that referred you, and some of the cookies on your device. This is collected using cookies, log files and tracking pixels.

Communications. If you email, call, message us on WhatsApp, Messenger or Instagram, or leave a review, we keep the content of those messages and the details you give us.

Marketing preferences. If you sign up to our emails or discount offer, we collect your email address and whether you agreed to receive marketing.

3. How and why we use your information

UK data protection law requires us to have a lawful basis for each use of your information. These are ours:

  • To fulfil your order (contract): processing payment, creating and sending design proofs, printing, packing, shipping, sending order confirmations and handling returns, replacements and customer service.
  • To run and protect our business (legitimate interests): preventing fraud, keeping the Site secure, keeping business records, improving the Site and our products, and responding to your enquiries.
  • To send you marketing (consent, or our legitimate interests for existing customers where the law allows): emails about our products and offers, and abandoned-basket reminders. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
  • To show you personalised content, analyse the Site and measure our advertising (consent): we only use non-essential cookies and similar technologies for these purposes if you accept them in our cookie banner.
  • To meet legal obligations: for example keeping accounting and tax records.

4. Who we share your information with

We only share information with others where it is needed to run our business, and we do not sell your personal information. Our main providers are:

  • Shopify, which hosts our store, processes payments and handles checkout and customer accounts (Shopify privacy policy).
  • Print and fulfilment partners, who receive your name, delivery address, phone number and the artwork for your order so they can print and ship it. Depending on where you live, your order may be printed in the UK, EU, USA, Australia or Canada.
  • Delivery carriers, such as Royal Mail, who receive your name, address and contact details to deliver your parcel.
  • Email and messaging providers, such as Omnisend for marketing and order emails, and WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram if you contact us through them.
  • Review and proofing tools, such as Loox for product reviews and the proof approval app we use to send and manage design proofs.
  • Analytics and advertising providers, such as Google (including Google Analytics and Google Ads), Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Microsoft Clarity, but only where you have accepted cookies.
  • Professional advisers and authorities, such as accountants, or the police and regulators where we are legally required to share information, or to protect our rights.

These providers may only use your information to provide their services to us, or, in the case of advertising partners, as described in their own privacy policies.

5. Cookies and advertising

We use essential cookies to make the Site work, such as keeping items in your basket. We only use cookies and similar technologies for personalisation, advertising and analytics if you accept them in our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time by using the privacy or cookie settings link on the Site, or by clearing cookies in your browser. To learn more about cookies, visit allaboutcookies.org.

You can also manage ad personalisation directly with these services:

Our Site does not change how it works when your browser sends a "Do Not Track" signal.

6. International transfers

Some of our providers, including Shopify, Google, Meta and our print partners, are based in or process data in countries outside the UK, such as the USA, Canada, Australia and the EU. Where we transfer your information abroad we make sure it is protected, for example by using countries the UK government recognises as providing adequate protection, or by using approved contractual safeguards.

7. How long we keep your information

  • Order and invoice records: at least six years, as UK accounting and tax rules require.
  • Design files, proofs and personalisation details: for as long as we need them to handle reprints, replacements and customer service.
  • Marketing information: until you unsubscribe or ask us to stop.
  • Cookie and analytics data: for the periods set by the relevant provider.

When we no longer need information we delete it or anonymise it.

8. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
  • ask us to delete your information (we may need to keep some records for legal reasons);
  • ask us to restrict or object to our use of your information;
  • ask for a copy of your information in a portable format;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, for example to marketing emails or cookies. This does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.

To use any of these rights, contact us using the details in section 1. We will respond within one month.

If you are in the European Union, you have equivalent rights under EU data protection law, and you can contact your local data protection authority.

9. Complaints

We would like the chance to put things right, so please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or by calling 0303 123 1113.

10. Children

The Site is not aimed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you think a child has given us their information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for legal, operational or regulatory reasons. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated shown at the top.
